Every interaction between a person and a critical system starts with a single point of contact — a button, a handle, a screen, a gesture. We design, engineer and qualify that point of contact for environments where it has to work every time.

An interface is more than a switch. It has to be found without looking, understood without instruction, and operated reliably by someone under pressure, wearing gloves, or with limited mobility. It has to survive vibration, cleaning agents, vandalism and years of daily use — and still feel simple. This is what we engineer: the point where a person and a system meet, built to disappear into the background until the moment it matters.
Tactile Actuation
Defined switching points and haptic feedback, engineered so an operator can confirm a command without looking.
Touchless Activation
Infrared-based, contactless operation for hygienic requirements in doors, washrooms and public areas.
Hybrid Actuation
Interfaces that combine tactile and touchless operation in a single point of contact, selectable to the application.
Visual & Acoustic Feedback
Configurable light and sound signals that confirm an action was received.
Accessibility by Design
Braille, raised pictograms and vibration feedback built in to meet PRM and accessibility requirements, not added afterwards.
Our interfaces are engineered to withstand the conditions of the environments they operate in — and to meet the standards that govern them.
Standards & Accessibility
Developed to meet EN 14752, EN 50155, EN 45545-2, EN 61373 and TSI-PRM requirements for rail applications.
Ingress Protection
IP65/IP67-rated for exposure to moisture, cleaning agents and dust.
Mechanical Durability
Engineered for high actuation cycles and resistance to vandalism.
Customisation
Configurable colours, pictograms, legends and light signals to match the platform and the operator’s needs.
Many of our human-machine interfaces began as a problem without a standard solution: a door control that had to work for passengers with limited mobility, a button that had to be operated with a wet or gloved hand, a panel that had to survive years of vandalism in public transport. We do not start from a catalogue. We start from the requirement — and engineer the interface that meets it. What begins as a custom solution for one customer often becomes the next generation of our standard range.
Human-machine interfaces from the MAFELEC TEAM are in service on driver desks, door systems and passenger areas in railway, in cockpits and control panels in aerospace & defense, and on operator panels in energy, industry and specialised vehicles.
