A single light can tell a passenger a door is closing, guide a hand to a hold in the dark, or warn of a fault before it becomes visible elsewhere. We engineer light and sound as information — not as decoration.

Light and sound are how a system speaks to the people around it. A signal light shows whether a door is open or closed. A warning tone alerts before a fault escalates. Ambient lighting guides a passenger safely through a doorway or along a handrail in low light. We are not lamp manufacturers. We engineer lighting and signalling as part of the interface between a system and the people who depend on it — legible, reliable, and built to the standards of the environment it operates in.
Door & Status Signalling
LED signal lights indicating door and system status, visible from all angles
Passenger Guidance Lighting
Illuminated handrails and door-cove lighting that combine orientation with signalling
Indicator & Display Devices
Illuminated indicators and displays reporting operating states clearly and at a glance
Acoustic Signalling
Warning tones and combined light/sound units for fault and status alerts
Ambient & Functional Lighting
LED lighting integrated into driver desks, passenger areas and door surrounds
Ingress Protection
IP54-rated and sealed mounting for exposure to moisture and daily wear
Visibility & Legibility
All-round visibility, high luminosity and configurable colour signals for fast recognition
Rail Standards
Engineered to meet the relevant standards for railway signalling and passenger information
Long Operating Life
LED technology selected for durability under continuous daily operation
A signal light was once a single-colour indicator. Today, the same door position can be communicated through configurable multi-colour LEDs, combined with acoustic warning and integrated into the same housing as the button that triggered it. This is evolution as we understand it: not a new product line, but the continuous development of what a signal can do.
Lighting and signalling solutions from the MAFELEC TEAM are in service on doors, driver desks and passenger areas across railway and bus fleets, and in vehicle lighting for specialised industrial vehicles.
